how to use the 'Texture' setting #12

Not so much an issue but was hoping I could get a lesson on how to utilize the 'Texture' Box in the options under Ring->Display. Is that supposed to be a link to a jpeg file on my pc or a preset #? I've tried entering numbers 1 -10 in the Texture Box but seem to only end up with a giant green square.
Very helpful addon. Cursor is easily lost in the chaos of a raid or any encounter really. A quick side note/ suggestion, Would love to be able to increase the 'Thickness' In the 'CC' tab beyond 25.
