Description
Environment
- OS: Windows 11
- Windows text size: 200 percent (Settings → Accessibility → Text size)
- Application: Colour Contrast Analyser (version 3.5.4)
Description
When a user increases the system text size in Windows for example to 200 percent, the Colour Contrast Analyser window becomes too large vertically and cannot fit into the available screen space. As a result, parts of the interface become inaccessible because the window is not resizable and the content cannot be reached in any way.
This creates an accessibility barrier for users who rely on larger text as an assistive technology feature. They are not able to access sections located outside of the visible area.
Expected behaviour
The application should allow resizing its main window so that users can adjust the layout according to their system wide text scaling. This would ensure that all controls and results remain reachable.
Actual behaviour
- The window height grows beyond the available screen height
- The bottom part of the interface is cut off
- The user has no way to scroll or resize the window
- Sections like WCAG results or sample preview may become completely inaccessible
Steps to reproduce
- Open Windows Settings
- Go to Accessibility → Text size
- Set text size to for example 200 percent
- Open Colour Contrast Analyser
- Observe that some parts of the application window are no longer reachable
Possible solution
Allow the Colour Contrast Analyser window to be resizable. This would make the tool usable even when the user has a larger text size configured.
