Videos are automatically downloaded before playback?

It appears videos are being downloaded to some extent as soon as posts with them appear on screen.
There is a Media size setting, which can be used to make videos not appear automatically (tap to show), but then videos are still being downloaded/cached when you tap them without playing.

Problem 1:
This wastes traffic and can affect mobile plan.

Problem 2:
Videos seem to not being cached even after user view them, so next time user browses the same post, all the same videos are being pulled from the internet again (to cache them for playback), each session.
This wastes even more traffic.

If the above guesses are correct, I'd ask for more options to save traffic while still showing the initial thumbnails for videos.

Hi @reyaz006, this is a known issue (#95). There are things we can do to improve the video player and data consumption.

Caching videos for a certain time after fetching them is a good idea as well.
