Is Ubuntu 24.04 suitable for use as a production host OS? #40

COCOON’s production doc calls for Linux kernel 6.16+ and QEMU 10.1+.

Linux server (Kernel 6.16+ for full TDX support) with:

  • Intel TDX-capable CPU
  • NVIDIA GPU with CC support (H100+) (for actual workers)
  • QEMU with TDX support (10.1+)

Canonical’s guide enables TDX on Ubuntu, but it doesn't upgrade kernel version to 6.16+ or QEMU version to 10.1+.

One straightforward way to prepare your hardware is to use the canonical guide, but it could be too specific for general use.

Does COCOON actually require those exact minimums for production workers? Or installing Ubuntu 24.04 and following Canonical's guide is enough for production?
