App crashes when you attempt to write blank card - no status lights

I looked at issue #79 which may or may not be the same as this, if it is, it's not fixed in the version of the app I have. When I do any other operation, the 'A, B, C, D' status LEDs do something indicating some operation but when I try to write a card it just spins for about 30 seconds, no LEDs come on and the app crashes. Same issue or not?
