Hello from germany,
I was searching for keywords "Drupal" and "UIkit". Just found 2 related projects: Yours and an empty drupal sandbox project. https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/rob_dean/2113829

Just out of curiosity, are you still working with UIkit? Still plans for a Drupal base theme or other integrations i.e. Views, Panels, DisplaySuite?

Hi,

I wish I had the time. I prefer UIkit over Bootstrap.

Its not active anymore.

The best way to use UIkit with Drupal is to modify the Bootstrap base
theme. Its a fair amount of work, but it would fully work in the end.

I was just in Germany last fall, nice place.

Is this a personal project?

thanks for the hint about bootstrap base theme... actually, that was my first thought, too. Thanks for confirmation. ;)

There is no current project for it, I used it indirectly in Yootheme's Joomla templates. At first release I was not excited about it. Too much Bootstrap similarity or should I say "redundancy"? Version 2 and latest extras look interesting. In general, Yoothemes work is quite solid, but I have my personal concerns about "product lifetime" and "update/migration" policy. The next UIKIT v3 is knocking on the door... AFAIK, it will be incompatible. I mean, it is not an update... it seems to be a re-write, but it can be used side-by-side with v2. So, hard decisions to make...
