thanks, the warning makes it sound like there could be risk of corruption or something.
maybe those are related to a similar problem in Windows Terminal:
microsoft/terminal#7754

but this might be more of a qt specific issue like they said

turns out disabling UAC with EnableLUA=0 fixes the issue in syncplay for me. does not require the further workaround described here:
