Configure targets with file

Is it possible to configure targets using a configuration file, so they can be manager with tools like Ansible / Puppet / ... ?

Hi @qaoru,

currently this is not possible, but to me it seems like this could be a variant for the generic IPAM / target configuration mechanism that I'd like to implement at some point. It could work similar to Prometheus's file_sd_configs, or the way Ansible accepts both a static yaml file or an executable script or binary as its inventory. I'll keep it in mind.

For the time being, I think I'd look into calling the targets API via an Ansible URI task to manage targets. Would that work for you?

I'll look into the API, that should be good enough for my usecase in the meantime !
