First... are you using data that is available here?

This data is sample for "SS6Player for Web"(for JavaScript platform) and cannot be displayed properly in "Unity-UI" mode of SS6PU.
*) Restrictions on available data are different. The specifications of data that can be handled differ due to the different specifications of the target platforms.

SpriteStudio6 data that can be successfully used in SS6PU's "Unity-UI" mode must be based on the following specifications.

• Only 1 texture-atlas (SSCE) should be used (per 1 SSPJ / 1 UI.Image).
  It is acceptable for multiple "Cell"s to be in 1 SSCE.
• Only the following Animation-Part-Types (in SSAE) can be used. (Parts such as "Mask", "Mesh / Bone", "Instance", and "Effect" are not available.)
  Multiple "Normal (Sprite)" parts in 1 SSAE are acceptable.

Animation objects that can operate in the same way as "UI.Image" on Canvas should be able to be created if it is based on the above specifications.

I've forgotten to write 1 thing.

In order for data imported in "Unity-UI" mode to display properly on "Canvas", you need to add the "Additional Shader Channel" setting in "Canvas".
Please check the 3 items "TexCoord1", "TexCoord2" and "TexCoord3".

but this means we could not preview the prefab to check the animation effect right? this is not convenient.

By the way, could you please add the "Additional Shader Channel" info to the caution message or somewhere of the Unity-UI import mode? this could help a lot.

You can't see the effect of imported animations by dropping an "AnimationClip" on a prefab that instantiate on "Hierarchy"?

I understand to addition to "Caution".
I will add at a later date when I upgrade (Next-Version).

Matter Causing Distress... :
Since there are also cases where animations are added to Buttons or "AnimationClip"s are played without using "Animator", it is difficult to assign an "AnimationClip" to a Prefab at importing.
