Bug Report: Selected App List Resets Unexpectedly #186
Description
Problem Description:
The list of selected applications on winstall.app intermittently resets (all checkboxes become deselected) after certain user interactions or page events. This requires users to re-select all their desired applications, disrupting the workflow.
Steps to Reproduce (Intermittent):
- Go to winstall.app.
- Select multiple applications using their respective checkboxes (e.g., Firefox, VS Code, 7-Zip).
- Observe that the selected apps appear in the "Your Apps" section.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- Click on an individual app to navigate to its details page, then use the browser's back button to return to the main selection page.
- Refresh the browser page (e.g., pressing F5 or Ctrl+R).
- (Note: The reset sometimes occurs without a specific direct action, after a period of browsing or navigating through different sections of the site.)
- Observe the "Your Apps" list and the checkboxes next to the applications in the main listing.
Expected Behavior:
The selected app list should persist across internal navigation within the site and upon page refresh. Applications should remain selected until the user explicitly deselects them or clears the list.
Actual Behavior:
The selected app list is intermittently cleared, and all previously chosen applications become deselected without user intervention.
Impact:
This bug significantly impacts user efficiency and experience. Users must remember and re-select their entire list of desired applications, which is time-consuming and frustrating, particularly for longer lists or when generating scripts multiple times.
