I just finished watching the vid you put up. I had a thought that XMP sidecars are not really needed as you can store all of the data you create with the tools using a tool like Exiftool (clip based). This would push the data directly into the file. This could also add the feature that any image that was once modified by A-EYE could always be reverted even after removing the files or putting them onto a completely different A-EYE instance. All the previous data as well as keywords, dates, locations are all stored in the file itself. Nothing to ever get lost as with a sidecar.
