Using a Raspberry Pi as a central MCU

I'm using a Sovol SV08 and I'd like to know if it's possible to perform USB communication using the printer board's USB-C to UART port to migrate the klipper processing to a Rasperry Pi 5.

I'm am gonna do you the biggest solid that I wished would been something mentioned immediately in all the different guides and advice threads. You don't need any sbc. In fact by me following all the "reputable sources " guides, I corrupted the firmware on my fysetc sb combov2. Luckily I was able to fix but holy crap. For an open source project that seems to have a fairly large following the documentation is almost non existent. I'm wondering if it was all written down on the same paper that has the original Coca Cola recipe bc wtf! Sorry for rambling but I went through some crap to figure this all out. What actually was my discovery was watching that very short video nadir has on YouTube of how he routed his u2c. I'm just starring at the screen at this point. The video is like 58 seconds long so I'm certain I've watched it at least 50 times. I look at the screw part of the u2c and following the wires asking where the heck is his pi at.i swear I heard montage music kick in. " You're the best, AROUND. Nothings gonna keep you down" oh happy day

So ya. Half the sv08 board operates in the same way sbc would. Because no one mentions this, i realized that no matter how accurate I followed the few guide available that did a very fine job at covering ever other board imaginable including sample boards that dont actually exist, I could never get it to pull the uuid up. Man when unhooked the pi and went toolhead to u2c to main board usb it took me 22 minutes exactly and I had my toolhead up and running. Well its communication is.ive just embarked on a pretty large project now because of the steps that's you'll come to next. The printer.cfg file and Klipper awesome version of a middle finger "Error extra MCU's". The forums comment them out. Did that. Still error so went through a deleted every mentions of extra mcu and still says that the line that has extra mcu is causing errors. There is nothing in it at all that has this so idk. Anyways I decided to build a database that will compile all available parts that can be built into all the different versions of print heads and I'm going to build an interface where the user can literally add what they have for parts from the toolhead all the way back to the controller and the this will use what information is available currently to produce a working printer.cfg using already tested documentation.i will also integrate DeepSeek to help in this process.

Wow! I thought it would be a simple process. I saw in the documentation that the USB-to-UART port would help. I started the process but stopped exactly when I saw that extra_mcu doesn’t work with this kind of communication. Thank you very much for the reply.
