Can't split up a vehicle caravan properly

Describe the bug
I have a single colonist I'd like to move into a separate, walking, caravan. It used to be a passenger, but even after moving him into the dismounted section the checkbox designating him as being split off remains disabled.

To Reproduce

• Reform a caravan from a map encounter tile.
• Try to split it up and see you can't mark colonists within vehicles to be split off.
• Move a wagon (if it matters) passenger out of the vehicle and repeat the previous step.

Also, even if you split off a whole vehicle, then stash it, the caravan split dialog still won't let you to mark any colonist for splitting off.

@SmashPhil: can you suggest a workaround? This issue sort of holds my game hostage. I need to send a single colonist to a PoI nearby, but can't, and the site expires soon.

You should be able to select the colonist as long as they are dismounted and not assigned to any vehicle. If not, then there's no workaround atm aside from stashing vehicles.

Look, looks like some parts of the mod don't agree with each other. On the 1st picture you can see that nobody is assigned to a vehicle, but on the 2d you can see that clearly they are. I think that's the issue.

You have a lot of errors in your logs. A bit unrelated but Auto Arm is currently incompatible with Vehicle Framework. They're patching over one of the entity Destroy methods, which is causing vehicles to be completely indestructible.

Apart from that there isn't anything else sticking out. I'll take a look later but it could just be that your caravan's cached roles are stale. Reloading the game should fix that, let me know if you still have the same issue afterwards.

Reloading from a savegame did finally let me dismount the colonist and split him off into a separate caravan. However, once he returned from the little trip, merged with the main caravan, and moved back to passengers, he became no longer visible in the colonist bar, but still remained within the vehicle. No additional logs because nothing of interest was in them. It didn't have any errors like in the previous one, certainly. So it seems like some parts of the mod go out of sync with each other and/or the game.

P. S.: Another time when I was messing around with splitting, merging and moving colonists between available roles within vehicles I managed to duplicate one colonist on the top colonist bar, although it was only a display issue and no clone appeared within the caravan proper.
