x doesn't select all of first line in select mode

What happens now

In the video, I start selecting mid-way through line :53, then when I get to line :68 I press x. :68 gets selected to the end of the line.

What should happen

I would also expect :53 to be selected to the start of it's line when pressing x

Aha the classic case - dang it ok 😅 I mean it could be something conflicting I've got setup I'm not sure how to dig into it

@tjmgregory could it be that you're confusing lowercase x with uppercase X? If I do like you, but press X at the end then the selection expands from the beginning of :53 to the end of :68. This is consistent with what my version of Helix does as well.

Finally got a chance to get back to you on this - sorry for the delay!

So, slight clarification that is different to @vbaswin's example is that I'd hit v first, then x when on the lower line. See this difference - filmed this time with key recording to hopefully make it clearer 😊

See how in Helix the first line will get it's line filled out whereas Vscode does not 😊
