Add a toggle (or similar) to allow disassembly or image to be loaded but keep the existing eyes/mouth data in memory.

Hmm... one feature the old version had was when updating portraits, I could load an image from disassembly which would populatre the eyes/mouths sections and then i could load the .gif and it would keep all the eyes/mouth sections.

Now it seems that any time I want to edit the .gif and reupload I have to redo ALL the eyes/mouth parts? Is there something Im just missing?

When you export as image (png or gif) then it will output a .meta file which contains the settings.
So, for new images, you might want to: 1. import image, 2. set eyes/mouth, 3. export image again (with meta)
This has the added 'advantage' of setting the image colors to the CRAM colors (the colors the engine will use)

The meta part is a whole extra step, which is worth it, but idk I kinda liked the old way that when you loaded an png or gif it wouldn't overwrite the eyes/mouth parts.

I added the meta to ensure that all data was preserved when you export. I don't like the idea of partial data being lost.
What about a checkbox that says "don't reload eyes/mouth" (or "don't reload metadata")

Yeah I figured it was like a bug and i was exploiting it for my own gains, but yeah a button to allow that would be nice.
