Region 90 channels

Thanks for all these years of Shepherd. It's been terrific for use with MythTV. Here in SWVic I am using region 90 Ballarat. My scan (26/07/25) shows this includes 7MateHD which isn't in 90's list. Even though I manually enter 7mate.shepherd.au or 7matehd.shepherd.au for XMLTV it doesn't seem to populate with a guide. Does "7 mate" or "7 mate HD" need to be in 90's list for XMLTV to collect the data?

You can test this yourself. Go to .shepherd/references/channel_list then edit file channel_list (recommend make a backup). Find the 90 row and add what you believe to be missing then go back and do shepherd --configure

Here is my proposal for an updated region 90:

There's more to it than this (temporary) edit to channel_list.

Shepherd now has only two working grabbers - abc_website and rex. The ABC grabber does not currently capture other stations in the regions. So for region 90 and the others, only rex has been providing data. The reason 7Mate stopped working for Roquelobster was because of a change in the site used by rex.

As it happens, there is no reason for the abc_website grabber to exclude other stations. Poke around https://www.abc.net.au/tv/epg/#/ and its apparent that all channels in all regions are reported. Caveat: I don't know for sure if its correct as I don't physically receive any transmissions from there.

The attached zip contains testgrab and a patched grabber for the ABC. Go to .shepherd/grabbers/abc_website, copy testgrab from the zip file to that location and do chmod +x on it as well. Execute it then examine the output:

$ grep channel lookatme.xmltv

Next make a backup of your original abc_website file then overwrite it with the copy from the zip file. Execute and examine the output. It should now contain data from all stations.

I ran it here with the following changes (I'm also using the Ballarat region - 90) and it captures the correct data.

I'm yet to get the result back from a full mythdatabase run but this is encouraging.

As an aside - oztivo is still valid isn't it? It's limited but it appears to have data still.
