Abstract

Eddy Current Sensor Adapter Board: Add additional mounting holes to improve mechanical integrity

Context

We currently only have mounting holes on the side of the eddy current adapter board that plugs into the demodulator box. This is unfortunate, as it leads to a cantilevered support, where forces on the opposite end place strain on the demodulator box connector.

Approach

We want to add mechanical support on the side of the Kaman board that plugs into the AMDC, as depicted here:

This would be ideally implemented by placing the holes in the two corners of the right side of the board. This will require more broad layout changes to make room for these holes.
