Database migration testing

I'd like to see testing added to cover bugs in database migration implementations like the one that caused #221 so that these are caught before making it into a release. I was told there is continuous integration with some existing test coverage, but I don't know where to find that. If someone can point me to it I'll look into creating a pull request with some new tests.
