IDEA: GPS Active/Passive Game #4

Description

@psiie

Backitude is an app on Android that steals GPS captures that the phone uses and sends a RESTful route (such as a POST). Using this, a game could be played on the computer/phone actively or passively where they play by doing everyday tasks. Each location point covers x amount of space and by sending a gps point that location is secured. People will be encouraged to move to new locations and routes to dominate that part of the city.

Idea 2:
Players try to find a 'bomb' planted by the computer in a limited space (such as a park). Using techniques, tools and by walking, hints as to it's location would be given. Google maps has information for water/trees/roads which can be used to get decent locations.

This game would be timed and played in teams. Even a simple hot/cold technique would work.
