Door Automations

Now that I have the door sensors configured again, time to automate some more stuff.

Checklist:

• Upon opening closet door, set full bright scene, and a Wait Template to shut the lights off when closet door is closed
• Counter component to count how many times the doors open
• Start dimming lights only after door open (Wait Template)
• Alert after front door open and phone(s) are not on WiFi within ~20 sec
• Alert if door is left open for 5 minutes
• Security - alert if door is opened while nobody home, record camera, send to iOS, etc.
• Mark as away after living room door closes and then front hallway door closes within a min later (has to be tested for false positives first)
• When bathroom door is opened and shower mode is on, automatically turn off shower mode
• Specialized greetings via Google Home TTS to welcome who arrived
• Alert when hallway door is open, to help carry bags or open the top door etc
• Mark as away using Monitor
• Warn of bad weather conditions before leaving, if it’s raining say a TTS to take an umbrella etc
• When front door is open, perform a manual scan of each iOS device (push notif update)
