Whitespace (CR LF) ignored

Hi,

many thanks for nice XML viewer!
I have a very special usage, so this is maybe not usual...
How can I make the viewer to NOT to ignore newline characters?

e.g.
<sysconf>
hostname test
ip X.X.X.X
</sysconf>

... appears all in one line.

I have tried <br />, but this shows the br tag, escaped <, > is shown as plaintext, &#xD; or/and &#xA; are ignored.
