Stuttering and Playback Issues

Playing the MIDI "Htack.mid" (for Hard Tack) leads to massive stuttering and the playback drops out entirely about a third of the way through. Also, the harmonica and most instruments play for much too short a time compared to, say, the default MS GS Wavetable Synth.
