Description
I opened the app in 4 tabs, ran an example of a different query type in each tab, and then compared the results. Here are some suggestions based on what I experienced. This is mostly cosmetic - each interface is organized and works well - and not a high priority unless this is going to be a primary interface over the long run.
- I like that the PFAS Upstream Tracing defines the 3-step process after the "What this analysis does" list and then shows the progression in the Query Execution section. Could this be reflected across all 4 query types?
- I appreciate the Selected Parameters provided in two of the query and suggest adding them to the other two queries.
- The Query Results organized by Steps in the Upstream query is nice, especially the organization of the tables there. I also appreacite the large Download ... CSV button with each table (not present with the tables on some of the other query pages). This layout would be nice across all 4 query types
- The SOCKG Region selection sorts first by which states are valid choices, then alphabetically within each of those groups, with the valid choices available at the top. That would be nice across all query types and choices (it is noticeably missing from County selections for some queries, possibly elsewhere).
- After working with the Downstream and Upstream queries, I found the map as a tab among the results for the other queries a bit confusing. A consistent layout across all four queries should be helpful to many users.
Separately, here are some suggestions for the maps
- County and state boundaries vary in line type and color across queries.
- Flowlines are often hard to distinguish against the OSM basemap, especially when they coincide with major waterways.
- Points are often hard to see on the downstream map.
- All legends should include the statement about where to find/how to use the layer controls (like on the downstream legend).
- The SOCKG map could use a legend.
- I am not finding the ALL FACILITIES checkbox on the Upstream map.
