Let's run this years final demonstration of GSoC projects as a community event. We will use RC4Community and Rocket.Chat for Virtual Events to handle it end-to-end.

There needs to be: * less steps to instant gratification * less errors and warning * less apparent complexity initially Ultimately, developing and deploying a scale-to-million system is NOT SIMPLE and they will be exposed to all its complexity. BUT the initial experience is most important - so they'll stay and learn / discover this complexity. (every one of us experienced this with MeteorJS , for example)

Overdue by 3 year(s)•Due by August 1, 2022•2/3 issues closedWe will be holding a GSoC Alumni Summit - where former Rocket.Chat GSoC participants (mostly now working in the industry, in academia, running their own startup, and some continued with open source companies) will share their experience and tips with this year's GSoC students, in a 1 day "live" format with talks in both AM and PM - and lots of networking opportunities. And we want to promote and handle this virtual conference ENTIRELY on community.rocket.chat - using actual real RC4Community code, this year. Achieving this milestone, we will have a new set of components (and sample layout/routes) that any community builder can use to promote and handle their own virtual conferences (and remote training) scalably, using RC4Community moving forward.
