Call appropriate .destroy() method when replacing an existing chart

What if we actually loaded a new page (with the appropriate URL parameters) whenever the submit button is clicked. Would that be easier/more reliable than calling .destroy()?

That'd be a creative way around actually rigidly capturing state.
