Discussion for phpPgAdmin project #15

Description

@ngosang

First of all, I want to thank you @ReimuHakurei for maintaining this project. I have lost all faith in the original authors continuing the original project or giving control to new maintainers. I open this issue to discuss about the next steps to keep this project together. I have no interest in PHP development, but I use this software and build Docker images. I would like to collaborate in some way.

Some ideas to discuss:

  • Create an Organization in GitHub. It has more functions to add collaborators, teams, task trackers, wikis... I can do it for you and give you complete access.
  • Move this repository into that Oragnization. I can help.
  • Create an Organization in DockerHub. I can do it for you and give you complete access.
  • Rename this software to phpPgAdminNg or something else so it's clear it's a different software. The users should report issues in this repository. I can help.
  • Add GitHub actions to run the tests in each PR / release. I can help.
  • Add GitHub actions to build and publish Docker images in each release. I can help.
  • Include a Readme.md file with basic information about this fork, installation, etc...
  • Change project folder structure to sort files in a more meaningful / modern way.
  • Use composer as dependency manager.
  • Add a compatibility matrix with the versions of PHP and Postgres supprted.
  • Use https://hosted.weblate.org/ or a similar web to manage translations.
  • Integrate with GitHub dependency-bot and security scanner.
