Description
In the BTB PR (#250), there is a snippet of code added to run which checks for malformed input, disguising the worse-looking error inside BTB. However, no real use of SPRAS will ever make this check raise an error. Do we want to keep checks like this which mask BTB errors, or remove them altogether?
