PyGMTSAR (Python InSAR) for Sentinel-1 offers a comprehensive pipeline for handling Sentinel-1 SLC scenes. It supports downloading bursts from the ASF datastore, orbits, and DEM data, followed by preprocessing, interferogram calculation with amplitude stability enhancement, SBAS and PSI processing, elevation processing, and simultaneous processing of two orbits, among other features. The project provides live interactive InSAR examples on Google Colab, Docker images, and a ChatGPT-based AI assistant, available at PyGMTSAR GitHub.
It is arguably the most powerful open-source InSAR processor and time series analysis software listed. It boasts the best performance for processing InSAR on Google Colab, in Docker containers, on local and server installations, and even on GitHub Runners. Therefore, it’s surprising to see it categorized under ‘Software and Utilities’.
