Feature Request: Persistent Custom Assistant Profiles
I would like to request support for persistent, user-customizable assistant profiles in Qwen-Agent, similar in concept to Custom GPTs (ChatGPT) and Gems (Google Gemini).
Motivation
Qwen-Agent already provides powerful agent capabilities (tools, RAG, workflows). However, users currently need to re-specify system instructions, roles, and constraints in every new session, which leads to:
- inconsistent agent behavior,
- repeated setup overhead,
- difficulty maintaining disciplined, long-term workflows.
Proposed Capability
Allow users to define assistant/agent profiles that persist across sessions, including:
- persistent system-level instructions (behavior / policy),
- a stable role (e.g., strict tutor, code reviewer, research analyst),
- optional attached reference documents or knowledge sources,
- consistent behavior across sessions.
Scope Clarification
This request is not about model fine-tuning or changing Qwen model weights.
It is a platform / agent-layer feature focused on persistence, configuration, and usability.
Why Qwen-Agent
Qwen-Agent is the natural place for this capability, as it already manages agents, tools, and workflows. Persistent profiles would significantly enhance agent reliability, reproducibility, and long-term usability.
