Thanks for this cool project, I hope you will have the possibility to add even more to it.
I have a couple of suggestions.
A web-based interface for control would be perfect.
- See the status of the input stream
- How many are connected to the output.
- Processor and network load would also be useful.
- Maybe it could be possible to include a stream switcher? So you could switch between two stream inputs. And perhaps send the stream to one or more outputs (like youtube or twitch). At least for schools and sports streaming this could be perfect. The possibility to allow the output stream to stay active even when there is no input stream. Just showing a picture or black screen could be a nice feature.
Another feature that could be very useful would be a control option for bitfocus/companion. For instance to switch or cut broadcast.
Options under installation could also make this even more versatile.
