What would your feature do ?

This KPI measures the annual heat losses within the heat network. Understanding heat losses is crucial for evaluating the overall efficiency of the network, identifying areas where improvements can be made, and reducing energy waste.

Proposed workflow

This KPI includes the following components

  • Data Collection:
Gather data on heat losses from various components of the heat network, including pipes, heat exchangers, and other distribution elements.
  • KPI Calculation:
Calculate total annual heat losses by summing up the heat losses from all components over the year. Store the calculated KPI in an ESDL file.
  • Data display and visualization:
Retrieve KPIs from ESDL file in the front-end. Display annual power consumption data in the toolkit's web front-end. Use charts and graphs to provide a clear visual representation of the data. Highlight areas with significant heat losses to help users identify where improvements are needed.
  • User customization:
Allow users to select heat units to display.

Additional information

Discuss with the development team whether the calculation should be done in the KPI Calculator or in the Optimizer/Simulator.
