Kubernetes The Hard Way - Bare Metal - Controller and LB node

I have gone through your description on configuring Kubernetes The Hard Way - Bare Metal. I carry following two queries

1. Controller.example.com node - Is this expected to operate as a Load Balancer ? I have not seen any configurations related to Kubernetes Controller components made on this system. You also have lb.example.com, what does it differentiate with controller.example.com node ? In your description, examples on 'controller' usage does not exist; however I understand your description on controller1 and controller2 nodes. May be that helps.

2. There are three load balancers mentioned. If you can state role of each of these nodes will help.
