WRONG BATTERY PROFILE SET AT MANUFACTURER #1125

Description
I have 3 PiJuice hats and noticed the batteries ran pretty hot. After about a year of running, I discovered that they were all supplied set [using the DIP switches] to default to a PJLIPO-12000 battery at manufacture yet the installed batteries are BP7X-1820. [ I have now changed to the BP7X setting.]
Given the charging rate for the PJLIPO-12000 was set at 2.5A, and not 0.925A as required by the BP7X-1820, are my batteries going to be cooked and what are the safety implications?
I am in need of reassurance for one unit is to be used in my [mainly] unattended boat and obviously fire risk is a great concern.
