Hey all,
This PiSCSI is driving me insane. My setup is as follows.
PowerMac 7600/200
Internal Quantum 2GB SCSI ID:0
Internal SCSI CDROM ID:6
PiSCSI connected to the external 25pin SCSI port with a straight thru DB25 cable.
If no devices are mounted via PiSCSI then the Mac will boot into MacOS 8.6 fine. As soon as a device is connected to the SCSI bus, eg: RaSCSI-Boot-8.hda then the Mac just hangs on the boot screen. This happens whether termination is enabled or disabled on the PiSCSI.
I do see the following error in the logs:
Feb 25 08:07:55 PiSCSI PISCSI[434]: [2025-02-25 08:07:55.064] [error] (ID 6) - Not able to receive 1 byte(s) of data, only received 0
(note: this error was when I disconnected all devices on the internal SCSI bus and only had PiSCSI connected externally with a CDROM device attached)
Is anyone able to steer me in the right direction?
Update:
Setting logging to trace, I see this (in this example only PiSCSI connected externally and HDA is on ID:0)
Feb 25 08:16:51 piscsi PISCSI[434]: [2025-02-25 08:16:51.600] [error] (ID 0) - Not able to receive 1 byte(s) of data, only received 0
