Barrel Bands Rendering Wrong With Resource Pack

I have a custom resource pack I use and maintain myself but it seems to break whatever is being used to put the bands on the barrels
I assume it's because of an item texture or model I've changed but knowing which one would be nice so I can patch this on my end


also the barrel disappeared when I disabled my resource pack but it usually works fine so I'm not as concerned about that

I have polymer installed, and the polymer resources thing on the resource pack menu does not fix the bands looking weird
(this issue is purely about the bands, I'm not concerned with the unrendering as it only happened for the first time when I was taking these screenshots)
