Description

The default Polychromatic icon is already made: https://github.com/PapirusDevelopmentTeam/papirus-icon-theme/blob/master/Papirus/22x22/apps/polychromatic.svg

But the tray icon is still missing.
On Arch it is stored under /usr/share/polychromatic/img/general/tray-applet.svg, so inside the polychromatic folder.

There are also some icons in /usr/share/polychromatic/img/tray/, which are selectable inside the app. But although there is a monochrome icon, it still shows the Papirus icon when selected. Why so ever..

So it looks like there's a prefs setting for the icon, like you said: https://github.com/polychromatic/polychromatic/blob/5172c070164fdd0551b2c5e6e4e056d63476421e/polychromatic-tray-applet#L289

I don't use this software. How does the prefs setting above present to the user? Does it allow you to select any icon, or any image file?

Can you clarify a thing for me? You said that "it still shows the Papirus icon when [the monochrome icon] is selected". Does that mean that users only need to select the monochrome icon to see the Papirus icon in their tray, or is it missing like you said? I'd really appreciate cropped screenshots of your tray here with polychromatic running, with Papirus icon theme and without.
