We are happy to share the User’s Guide of AnalySeries with our community!
Created in the 90s and extensively distributed and used by the scientific community, AnalySeries came without a User’s Guide. With some delay, we are finally launching the new User’s Guide of AnalySeries. You can find it in the GitHub repository of LSCE at https://github.com/PaleoIPSL/AnalySeries. In the same link, we will also share different versions of AnalySeries (2.0.5.2 and 2.0.8). Additionally, in this Discussions section we expect to share practical solutions to typical issues and other topics related to AnalySeries.
Originally written by Didier Paillard (LSCE) on C++, AnalySeries is quickly becoming obsolete because it requires a 32-bit Mac Operational System prior to Catalina (MacOS 10.15). So, for the moment, the only solutions to keep using AnalySeries are to have an old Mac or to use an emulator. We expect to share more details of the latter solution soon in our GitHub repository and Forum.
However, we have exciting news: at LSCE we are working hard on developing a new cross-platform version of AnalySeries written in Python. We expect to liberate the first beta version to be tested by the scientific community soon. Stay tuned to our forum for all the latest news regarding AnalySeries at https://github.com/PaleoIPSL/AnalySeries/discussions.
