GitHub Pages auto-update workflow possible issue with Opening of PRs

The workflow for updating our github pages seems to not be opening PRs. If I'm not mistaken it doesn't even create branches or deletes them right away.
Maybe check delete-branch: true option for the used PR opening workflow
