request: better tab UX

When I click through hyperlinks between Markdown documents in the preview pane, then the markdown source code tab for these documents opens in the split view with the preview, rather than with the rest of the normal source code tabs. This messes up my workflow.

Can we please introduce a patch to prefer that new tabs arising from the preview pane, shall reside in the first tab group rather than the second tab group?

When you say "Preview Pane" it makes me thing you mean this kind of Markdown preview

That's a Microsoft thing. It has nothing to do with Print.

Print uses the browser for both print and preview, that's why there are two icons.

When you use Print's preview it comes up in your browser, like this.

This was intended to be a document preview, not a mini website, and I never bothered to make links to other documents work in the preview because out of six hundred thousand users you are the first person ever to ask for this.

But it's possible. I've implemented the rendering but making it link back to source is a job for another day.

The behaviour is complex, and I may change my mind and simply make the links pop a dialog saying that links to other documents are disabled in preview.
