v7 – Build on the new capabilities and start to extend them

  • Add new combat features to multiplayer – Issue #34
  • New public server with funding arm for the projects resources
  • Persist player data
  • Items and weapon ammunition systems – Issue #58
  • Dialogue capability with narrator/tutorial
  • World map, travel to instanced areas and other regions, portals and new thrusters
  • New screens for game intro sequence, player inventory, player hangar, docking with a building – Issue #31 and Issue #55

Old notes:

Build on the foundations of v6 to fill out the game engine:

  • Missile classes - not just damage diff, make lower class ones shitter at target tracking by reducing their calculation frequency etc
  • Item system for managing remaining missiles
  • Missiles "3D print" every.. 5 minutes?
  • Super thruster / portals to travel long distances
