about the rain height, maybe it would be easier to send the raw value of the 0°C isotherm height (without adjusting for the thickness of the melting layer). There are different methods in the literature developed to take into account the influence of the melting layer (and to assess its thickness). If the purpose here is to share raw data without anticipating the method used to convert them into rain rate maybe it would make more sense to give only the 0°C isotherm height ?
