I configured the Minimax 2.5 model, but it reports an error when performing web search.

Web search is typically handled via MCP servers (like Brave Search). The error may be related to the MCP server configuration or the Minimax model's tool-calling capabilities.

A few things to check:

1. Make sure you have a web search MCP server configured in Settings → Connectors
2. Not all models support tool calling equally well — Claude models have the best tool-use support

Please try the latest version which includes MCP stability improvements:

Thanks for reporting this. From the screenshot, the failing result contains a provider/API error: 400 ... invalid params, function name or parameters is empty (2013).

I checked the current code path and did not find a MiniMax-specific WebSearch implementation. The app routes the selected model through pi-coding-agent, creates the built-in coding tools for the agent session, and also adds enabled MCP tools as custom tools. The current in-app MiniMax guidance is for an OpenAI-compatible custom setup (https://api.minimax.chat/v1, example model MiniMax-M2.5). The README also notes that WebSearch may require proxy TUN / virtual network interface settings for network access.

Need more info:

• What Open Cowork version/build are you using?
• In Settings, what are the exact provider/protocol, Base URL, and model ID values? Please mask the API key.
• Please share the app logs around the failing turn, especially lines containing [ClaudeAgentRunner] Model=, [ClaudeAgentRunner] Built-in tools, and the full API error.
• Does the same prompt fail only with MiniMax-M2.5, or also with another provider/model?
