Different precision in currency templates

Most countries use two digits after the floating point for visualizing prices and amounts.

But some countries do not use floating points as they don't have two nominations of their currency (dollars and cents), but they only have one. Like the Chilean peso.

Other countries need more specificity and use three digits after the floating point. Like the dinars from the Middle East.

Right now you could specify a precision to be used for all amount representations from the Monetary::format() method.

But it would be helpful not only to be able to specify different precision every time you format, but the currency templates should support a precision number.

Here is an ISO standard for the currency representations: ISO 4217

One way is to use sprintf-like format for the currency templates, but it does not support UTF-8.

Another way is to use some kind of a regex format.

What do you think? Any suggestions?

Another way is to use money_format, but it's not very flexible.

1. You should have installed the locales if you want to make money representation in them.
2. If you use a French locale all currencies would be represented by the conventions of this locale. For example representing US dollars will use USD or $, but it will be placed after the amount and not in front of it. It could be quite annoying, but it depends on what you need.
