Head Plot widget performance is detrimental to the app on higher resolution screens

Problem

It's been known for a long time that the Head Plot widget is expensive. Now with larger screens, this is even worse.

Head Plot gets bigger -> Performance gets worse (10 fps on my modern Windows desktop on a 2K monitor)
Head Plot gets smaller -> Performance gets better.

This exists in every previous version of the GUI.

I've concluded that the widget, in it's current state, is unmaintainable.

Expected

Run the widget with minimal performance impact.

Today, I attempted to revive this widget and help it achieve the functionality that it promises. This was largely unsuccessful, though I was able to improve the performance, at the expense of UI and functionality. This will be removed.

#648 should be completed since HeadPlot will be removed in #1240.
