THe Creation and Boot of Remote Firmware Using remoteproc page contains a diagram listing suggesting PetaLinux to be the "preferred" method to build a bootable Linux FIT image.
AMD looks to be retiring PetaLinux by "Winter 2026" (https://www.amd.com/en/products/software/adaptive-socs-and-fpgas/embedded-software/petalinux-sdk.html) and the current replacement is AMD EDF: https://www.amd.com/en/products/software/adaptive-socs-and-fpgas/embedded-software/embedded-development-framework.html
I assume members of this project probably know about this; as a new visitor, I think it should be made clear what sort of hurdles may or may not come about by this change.
