SCALUS Deployment in Citrix Envrionment

Hallo all,

I need assitance for SCALUS Deployment in Citrix. (is their any SCALUS Wiki, some questions are already taken into consideration, i was not able to find it.)

We want to deploy SCALUS in Citrix Envrionment, where all Windows Registry Entries have to be taken into consideration for its smooth functioning.

During our Tests, we found for each User one has to register the Protocol (for eg: RDP, Putty) and SCALUS Certificate has to be installed when the Application is accessed for first time.

Is their list of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) , which can be prepared to execute SCALUS in Multi-User Envrionment (in our case Selected Users only) it can be Citirx or Microsoft Terminal Sessions?

In a Citrix environment, deploying SCALUS to register protocol handlers for all users involves several considerations:​

Installation for All Users: SCALUS needs to be installed on the Citrix server or within the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment accessible to all users. This ensures that the application and its protocol handlers are available during user sessions.​

This typically involves setting the protocol associations at the system level rather than per user.​

User Profile Management: Ensure that user profiles are managed appropriately so that the SCALUS configurations and protocol associations persist across sessions. This might involve configuring profile management solutions to retain these settings.​

Security Considerations: Review and configure security policies to allow SCALUS to operate as intended. This includes ensuring that any Group Policy Objects (GPOs) or Citrix policies do not block the execution of SCALUS or the registration of custom protocol handlers.​

Testing and Validation: After deployment, conduct thorough testing to confirm that SCALUS correctly handles the desired protocols and launches the associated applications as expected for all users within the Citrix environment.
