Should we design a standalone app or make some kind of web service?

Should we distribute it as libre software or transfer to a private repo, selling this as proprietary software?

Is Saas a viable option for distribution?

If we are going to open-source the simulator, I recommend we do it under the GNU GPL. The copyleft features of the license will ensure that our software is constantly improved on, and cement it as property of the open-source community. If someone were to design more features for this project, I would very much like it if we had a way of getting that contribution into the community.
