Vertical sync doesn't seem to work with 227k_14- Mac OS

I can't get vertical sync to match the refresh rate of my display (currently 60 Hz). I could get 60 fps with 227k_12. This is using either XOpenGL or Apple Metal rendering. I'm getting 120 fps instead, now.
