Inventory indicator and modifiable color

When a user selects an alch'ing spell, there should be a visual indicator that the spell is selected. The color of the indicator should be modifiable.

Here are a couple of ideas:

1. Draw a box around the inventory.
2. Add an opaque layer over the inventory.
