Description
- Admission, onset, and reported dates are entered manually
- Admission dates are more reliable because, in practice, cases are often merged over several days and reported on a single day. Therefore, using the reported date may introduce bias.
- When analysing, they compare the admission date and the reported date; if the reported date is far from the admission date, a different disease may cause the case, and they then check the onset date.
